Sami-Joe dominates once again in 2021 eSports WRC

Sami-Joe’s winning streak now stands at an astonishing seven-from-seven in the 2021 eSports WRC Championship presented by Toyota Gazoo Racing.

The latest challenge was held across three rough gravel stages set in Turkey. There were no massive 20km+ stages this time. Instead, two stages both measuring 6.59 km kicked off the event, followed by a quick sprint around the Super Special Stage on the streets of Marmaris. Don’t let the short distance fool you though, the terrain was narrow and rock-strewn.

The podium was rounded out by some other familiar protagonists, with Noel second and two-time former champion Nexl in third. Two drivers, Marvin01 and Zeniou_04, made the top ten positions without official esports team representation, showing how anyone can be competitive. With both second and third-placed finishers driving for the Race Cluth team, they now lead the Teams’ standings.

The next round will be held on rough gravel stages of Portugal between 13th-19th May 2021 and is open to anyone with WRC 9 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
