Strobetano has revealed details on the PC version of its retro-inspired 3D racing game Neodori Forever. The arcade racer is set to release on the 23rd of June.

Published by Crescent Moon Games, Neodori Forever features three game modes and randomly generated tracks, meaning players should never drive the same track twice.

Simple Race mode allows players to pick a car and environment and simply drive. Versus mode appears to be the main thrust of the game, seeing players compete against AI opponents for victory. Forever mode allows players to explore all the game’s environments continuously, ably showing off the game’s day/night cycle.

With over 11 environments and upwards of 25 vehicles, Neodori Forever promises collectable power-ups and coins in amongst the high-speed action – albeit unfortunately without multiplayer support.

Looking very similar to the likes of Victory Heat Rally and the recently released Slipstream, gameplay zips along at breakneck speed, with drifting at its core.

Although the vehicles are unlicensed, they have been inspired by iconic cars such as the Toyota Sprinter Trueno of Initial D fame, and the Nissan Skyline made famous by Paul Walker in 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Neodori Forever is available to wishlist on Steam right now as part of Steam’s Racing Fest promotion and will be available to buy on the 23rd of June.
