Star Wars: Galactic Racer gets October release date and £140 collector’s edition

Following its unveiling at The Game Awards last December, Star Wars: Galactic Racer has a confirmed release date: stay on target for 6^th October, 2026. The confirmation comes after the game’s Steam page accidentally leaked the release date last week.

Available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the science fiction racer is set to release with multiple editions.

Alongside the standard game, the Deluxe Edition will include three bonus vehicles: the Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder, Kor Sarun: Ciza T speeder bike and Kor Sarun: Rak S skim speeder. Additionally, this edition will come with three “deluxe Arcade events” and a Deluxe Livery Pack featuring unique designs.

A Deluxe Player Banner Pack will also include a new insignia and background for multiplayer modes, along with a digital artbook featuring artwork of the characters, locations and vehicles.  of Star Wars: Galactic Racer.

Available to pre-order, the Deluxe Edition will retail for £64.99/$79.99/€79.99, with a Deluxe Edition Upgrade also available at launch.

Alongside the digital Deluxe Edition, a physical Collector’s Edition will include a model of the Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder, along with a physical banner, two pilot patches, a physical version of the digital art book and a steel case with a custom slipcover.

Available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the Collector’s Edition will cost £139.99/$159.99/€159.99. A physical version of the standard edition will also be available.

Regardless of the edition, all pre-orders will include a free bonus livery that can be applied to landspeeders, speeder bikes or skim speeders featuring a unique colour for each platform.

The first Star Wars racing game since 2002’s Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Galactic Racer is developed by Fuse Games, a studio made up of former Criterion Games staff who worked on the Burnout and Need for Speed series.  

Set between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, the game sees you race a variety of vehicles from podracers to speeder bikes in locations including Jakku (the desert scavenger planet from The Force Awakens) and a new planet, Lantaana, filled with yellow lava.
