How to complete the 'H Marks the Spot' Treasure Hunt in Forza Horizon 5

Now in the third week of the Explore the Horizon series in Forza Horizon 5, these Pathfinder challenges seem to be getting more natural in our weekly guidance. This week’s challenge is “Seek and Enjoy” and once again will see players take on the new challenge to find the treasure at the end of the path.

Forza Horizon 5's June Festival Playlist 'Explore The Horizon' features Pathfinder challenges

The car rewards within this week’s Winter Season are the Chevy K10 1972 for 20 PTS and the Rip Rod, of Hot Wheels fame, for 40 points.

Treasure Hunt: Seek and Enjoy

Just like the first two weeks, the Treasure Hunt that’s called “Seek and Enjoy” requires us to checkout the Pathfinder Accolades within the Evolving World Accolades page for the first hint.

The first accolade for this week is called “Cordillera Trail” and the description reads “taking the Southern exit off the freeway will uncover the start of this trail, build some speed and get some air…”

Head to the big highway in the center of the map, just above the section that reads CORDILLERA in all caps. Take a southern turn off the highway and the green balloons will be there to welcome you. There’s a PR stunt in a Danger Sign that you’ll need to jump over.

Pro tip, do it at night and the balloons will have red and green lights underneath them. Another pro tip, if you pin the accolade, this will automatically provide a line to the start of the trail, so keep that in mind.

Once you’ve found the start of the trail, simply follow the red and green inflated balloons that cover this trail. The Pathfinder challenge will give you a generous 10 minutes to complete it. Upon completing the Cordillera Trail accolade, you’ll earn a Wheelspin and be given another accolade to complete named “Playa Tranquila Trail”.

For the “Playa Tranquila Trail” Accolade, the description reads “following the track North out of Playa Tranquila will reveal this trail, it’s route will lead you to the Copper Canyon river…”

This is a bit of a confusing read. My first instinct was to go to Playa Tranquila and heads towards Copper Canyon. As it turns out, there’s a dirt path that leads to the river coming out of Copper Canyon that leads to Playa Tranquila. As usual, once you find the right spot, the green balloons will be there to greet you.

Follow the pink balloons until the end in Playa Tranquila, with the green balloons rest and once more, another Pathfinder Accolade is complete. Just one more to go, and this one is called “Ek’ Balam Trail”.

“Navigate through stunning Ek’ Balam and emerge to the South East and you will see where this trail begins…” Again, it’s not starting in Ek’ Balam, but to the Southeast of Ek’ Balam. You’ll see the two green balloons on a dirt path facing the ruins. Follow the pink balloons into and out of the ruins to the Southwest.

You’ll come up to the three green ending balloons at some sort of house, and like the good old times, a large orange circle will appear on your map, signifying that the chest can be found in this vicinity.

It’s not too far away from that, you’ll find the chest hiding behind two shacks that are corner-to-corner over by the water. Simply smash into the chest, and the 250,000 CR and 3 PTS are yours.

Collectibles Challenge: Car-madillos

This week also contains a Collectibles Challenge, which involves you to smash 10 Armadillo cut-outs near the Baja Circuit.

Just outside the track, to the Northeast of the Horizon Baja outpost, in the dirt and brush around the area, you’ll find these little armadillo cutouts that you’ll need to smash 10 of to get the reward.

Upon getting all 10 smashed, the reward is a ‘legendary’ clothing option in the Farid Rueda Lion Race Gloves, which can be equipped in the Character Customization area.

Photo Challenge: #STREETDOG

This week’s photo challenge is #STREETDOG and it requires finding the camera equipment and some dogs to take pictures of in the Southeast of Lago Blanco.

On the map, it’s over by the Horizon Baja outpost as well, you can barely make out the word LAGO BLANCO on the light sandy area of the map.

Simply drive up to the equipment, open the camera app by using up on the D-pad and tap A to snap the picture to gain the rewards.

Upon completion, the “Predator Howl” Horn reward is yours.
