EA SPORTS WRC, the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship, is set to grow once again, and imminently.
The first DLC ‘pack’, excluding an ‘expansion’ that replicated the 2024 real-world season, will include fresh stage miles. It is also expected to include further content outside of the stages, although exactly what is not yet confirmed.
The new routes are:
- Monte Carlo, Briançonnet (14.55km)
- Portugal, Fafe (11.18 km)
Entitled ‘Le Maestros’, the Traxion team has theorised that the content could be related to nine-time WRC title-holder Sébastien Loeb, as he was often nicknamed “Le Maestro”.
The content will be detailed on Thursday 16th January 2025, 4 pm UTC, and the YouTube thumbnail unveils, at the very least, a new livery.
The Citroen Xsara is featured prominently in the image, a car that is already within EA SPORTS WRC. However, not with this livery, which is Loeb’s from the 2005 season, minus his name on the rear window.
The designs currently are for Colin McRae (2003) and Dani Sordo (2006). Could it be, then, that the DLC pack includes some extra in-game liveries? It certainly seems like at least one will be part of the mix.
With the unveil just days away, we expect the pack (which can be purchased separately or as part of a bundle with the 2024 season expansion) to be released before the end of January for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
