Since EA SPORTS announced that its WRC rally simulation would receive a DLC expansion instead of a full new release for this year, one question has remained unanswered…
How much is EA SPORTS WRC’s 2024 season content DLC?
If you already own the game, then to receive the 2024-season expansion alone will cost £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99.
This is entitled the ‘EA SPORTS WRC 24 Locations & Cars Content Pack’, and includes 52 real-world 2024-season livery designs, the ‘evo’ spec for the Ford Fiesta Rally3, Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, 2024-specification Rally1 machines and two new rallies: Rally Poland and Rally Latvia.
Now, we have the answer, but there are different permutations.
To start with, two further packs are expected later.
The Le Maestros Content Pack is slated for a ‘winter 2024/2025’ release with a combination of new stages and cars, while the Hard Chargers set is expected sometime in the spring of next year.
Each of these will be priced at £8.99 / $9.99 / €9.99.
However, if you’d like to pick up the main 2024-season pack, plus the two subsequent releases, you can in a bundle. This will be priced at £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 and called the ‘EA SPORTS WRC 24 Season Expansion Bundle’.
In total, that is nearly a 25 per cent saving compared to purchasing all three releases separately.
Finally, all of the optional DLC plus the base game (for those who do not already own it) will be repackaged as a digital-only release for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S called ‘EA SPORTS WRC 24’. This will retail for £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99.
Rally1 spec upgrades
When the 2024 season content was announced earlier this month, Electronic Arts touted ‘five new cars’.
On the face of it, that seemed a bit rich. Yes, the Rally2 Yaris and facelifted Rally3 Fiesta are new, but placing a current season livery design upon the three existing top-flight Rally1 cars was a stretch.
However, developer Codemasters has confirmed that the Toyota, Hyundai and Ford will also feature updated bodywork and purportedly updated handling.
Engine sounds have been updated too, with revisions for the Hyundai and Toyota, while M-Sport’s Puma has received an all-new recording.
Also of note, the contentious points system used in the competition this season (which is set to be changed in 2025) will be implemented if using the current year’s content. That means points awarded at the end of Saturday, further points for times set on Sunday, plus bonus points for Power Stage results.
The first batch of fresh content will be available as of 8th October, alongside a general game update with expected quality-of-life changes.

I can’t stand how they keep saying ‘5 New Cars’ when all of them are already in the game already, 5 updated cars =/= new and I’m Mindblown they’re not in trouble for False Advertising
Agreed, it’s a bit much!
