Dave Cam's Zero to Hero - Week 9, Ferrari GT3 at Spa

Week 9 of Dave Cam’s Zero to Hero series might seem little bit different this time around. You see, Dave is off on some more, well, important matters, and isn’t in the office this week. He’s still gone ahead and picked the car and track combination, but in his place, Dave has tagged in Piers Prior.

One of the official racing series that Piers added to his guide a few weeks ago happened to be the Fixed Ferrari GT3 Challenge series, and funny enough, that’s what Dave has planned for today. The venue this week is Spa-Francorchamps, and the field will all be getting on with it in iRacing’s Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020.

As is the “Zero-to-Hero” challenge set forth by Dave, Piers will be starting from as far back on the grid as possible, not setting a lap down in qualifying. That’ll put him back in the 17th starting spot to take on the top split grid of 20 drivers. There’s a long way to the top, and not a lot of time to do it.

This series only runs 15-minute races, and with each lap lasting around the two minutes, 18 second mark, it’ll end up being a seven lap race around the 7-kilometer, 4.35-mile Belgian circuit. Everyone on the grid is going to be trying to get all they can as quick as they can… which makes as much a fun challenge as it’s also a white knuckle brawl.

How will Piers do in Dave’s stead? You’ll have to watch to see how it all unfolds! Make sure to check out the Traxion.GG website and Traxion.GG YouTube page for all of our other Dave and Piers content, as well as everything else we’ve got uploaded there. Keep it pinned!
