Dave Cam’s POV of the Week – Week 8, GT3 at COTA on iRacing

It’s another edition of Dave Cam’s POV of the Week, and once again, our iRacing expert is back racing on iRacing. The combo chosen for Dave’s point of view this week is GT3 racing at the Circuit of the Americas over in Texas.

Races in the Fanatec GT3 Challenge official series on iRacing take 20 minutes and visit a handful of venues across the world. COTA just happened to be the track of choice this week. While many of his competitors looked to favour the Porsche GT3, Dave is going to try and take the BMW M4 to the top of the boards.

It’s been a mixed bag of content this season from Dave, as he’s dabbled in the rain on both Assetto Corsa and rFactor 2, tried multiple motorsport combinations on iRacing, and he done it all as close as possible to the real thing with his triple monitors, GoPro and all the user interface turned off.

Dave has a different piece of equipment in his hands this week. It looks to be the Formula Sport Racing Wheel by Cube Controls, and it’s a “little bit clicky” as Dave described it during the pace lap. He’s starting in 10th, how high up the order can he get today?
