Welcome to the ninth week of official racing in 2022 iRacing Season 3. If you’ve been following along this season, you’ll know that out weekly Dave Cam videos haven’t been his usual Track Guides. Instead, we have Dave Cam’s Combo of the Week.
To get the Combo of the Week, Dave takes a look at what official races are happening on the iRacing calendar. This week, it’s all about the Porsche iRacing Cup Fixed Series, which utilises the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) car. The series heads to Watkins Glen International for the next seven days.
Watkins Glen has a couple of layouts, all unique in their own ways. Dave wishes that this series was running the layout with the boot, as we all do, but alas, it’s the classic course this time around, which happens to skip both the boot as well as the bus stop.
The Porsche Cup runs a fixed amount of laps, 18 to be precise this week. Every race starts with a standing start. As per usual, Dave is starting in the back of the field. He’s going to try and get up the grid as far as possible, but his competition in the mid pack might not be so willing to let him get away.
