The Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team has unveiled a new motion simulator loaded with Formula 1 technology.
Built in partnership with Memento Exclusives, the limited run of simulators have been released to commemorate Fernando Alonso’s 400th F1 race at the recent 2024 Mexico City Grand Prix.
The Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team AMR24 Simulator, to give it its official name, can be supplied in Alonso or Lance Stroll’s livery from the 2024 season. Additionally, buyers can choose to have the sim provided with a front wing and nose cone and have the option to purchase with or without motion.
The set-up features an AOC 49″ curved gaming monitor, a D-Box Generation 5 2250i Haptic Motion System, a Simucube 2 Pro Wheelbase, Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Ultimate+S and a Rexing Formula Wheel Mayaris 2 steering wheel, all of which has been approved by the F1 team.
Naturally, all of this has been mated to a top-of-the-range gaming PC (specifications unknown), with the full package available for $105,000. Those who can do without the nose cone and motion platform will pay $75,000. Best get saving, then.
Aston Martin is no stranger to home simulators, having supplied their former driver Sebastian Vettel with a special home sim based on his 2021 F1 car. Aston also created the AMR-C01, a commercially available simulator aimed at the British marque’s wealthier customers, costing £57,500 (plus tax). And for that, you got a middling Nvidia GTX 3070 GPU. Ouch.
