The first part of Gran Turismo 7‘s significant Spec IV update will be released on 15th October 2026.
The date was confirmed during the Gran Turismo World Series event in Singapore.
It will feature six new cars, the Sugo track (which was used for Nations Cup qualifying) and several enhancements and fresh features. The second part arrives in December, with Autumn Ring, an altered GT Sophy and a Family Mode.
As previously detailed, this October update will also include a Vintage Car dealership section, a Car Concierge service for ordering three Used and Legend cars and a raised Collector level cap.
A Car Viewer will allow players to pan around one of their cars, with selectable backgrounds, reminding us of a similar feature previously reserved for PSV2 users.
Ferrari F355
The Ferrari F355 Berlinetta is heading to Gran Turismo 7 later this year as part of the upcoming Spec IV update.
A curious omission from the game’s current car roster, the F355 heralded a new era for the Maranello company. Leader Luca di Montezemolo heavily updated the often-criticised 348 with this model, drastically turning around the company’s fortunes.
At its heart is a sonorous 3.5-litre V8 (which needs a regular engine-out service, but we’ll close over that…) and the choice of manual or ‘F1’ robotised manual. Three roof configurations were offered in period, between 1994 and 1999, although the model in GT7 is the fixed-roof coupe (aka Berlinetta).
12 cars in total will be part of the free Spec IV game update, with the first half due later this month and the second half in December.
Ahead of today’s Gran Turismo World Series event in Singapore, six of models were confirmed, including an updated Gr.3 Mazda, the Citroën 2CV and a racing-spec Honda Civic. Now this classic Ferrari has been added to the list. It would seem that the previously confirmed BMW M5 (E60) will now be in the later December update.
Experience mode
Previously teased as an ‘Experience’ mode, the Xiaomi-specific ‘EV Experience’ was briefly showcased during today’s event, with one image portraying the brand’s two cars (SU7 Ultra and new Vision Gran Turismo). Behind them was a menu of small challenges, with time targets to hit for rewards across track segments. It is believed that these are accessed through the Brand Central, and other manufacturers will receive similar challenges.
Speaking of the Chinese brand, the previously showcased VGT model now has a dedicated teaser trailer.
・ A new circuit, Sportsland SUGO. ・ Six new cars. ・ A new Spec IV opening cinematic. ・ Vintage, a section featuring cars no longer available to purchase new. ・ Car Concierge, a service for ordering Used and Legend cars. ・ Experience, a mode featuring brand-specific driving challenges. ・ Car Viewer, a feature that lets you admire the cars in your garage. ・ An increased Collector Level cap.
