- To tie in with this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix, Assetto Corsa EVO has confirmed the Monza track for a future update
- It has also teased a 2025-spec Formula 1 car, which we believe to be the Ferrari SF-25
- There is no release window for the new content
While Assetto Corsa EVO goes through an open beta, for the early access, on an elongated road map, the marketing team has teased a surprise car and track addition for a future update – we think this is the Ferrari SF-25.
The key to it being a Ferrari, we believe, is the layout of the steering wheel’s buttons, and then on the exterior, the unique aero treatment under the main air intake. Then, to determine the SF-25 more specifically, there is a unique aero ‘fick’ near where the halo meets the chassis.

A current-era Formula 1 car licensed and made for a simulation platform is uncommon. The only place to currently experience a real-world 2025-specification machine officially is EA SPORTS F1 25, with iRacing offering a 2022-spec Mercedes-AMG F1 W13 E Performance.
EVO recently added Ferrari’s 2004 V10 single-seater, and this now looks to be joined by Charles Leclerc’s and Lewis Hamilton’s current car – although a release date is not yet known.

The current era of Formula 1 utilises a complex hybrid powertrain, comprising a 1.6-litre turbocharged internal combustion engine in conjunction with two motor generator units – one for heat and one for kinetic energy. EVO’s car roster so far excludes anything with a remotely similar setup.
Niki Lauda tie-in
“The entire Kunos Simulazioni team also wants to celebrate one of the most legendary F1 drivers in history, right in the setting of some of the most significant moments of his career. CIAO NIKI,” reads the social media post by Assetto Corsa, in relation to the development images.
At this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix, the Ferrari team is running a livery dedicated to Niki Lauda, the three-time world champion who won his first title for the Prancing Horse in 1975.

Monza track also confirmed
What looks to be further along in development is the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, again tying in with the grand prix this week.
It would join Imola in EVO as another Italian circuit, making it 13 venues so far confirmed.
The image showcases worn kerbs, detailed grass and up-to-date branding, plus one shot using the game’s dynamic time of day and weather system.

This information dump comes at a time when the much-heralded 0.3 update, bringing with it online multiplayer, arrived in an open beta form and has a seemingly long road ahead to iron out its performance.
The next update is expected to bring a form of ranked multiplayer, however, which is a crucial feature for the title’s long-term success.
