Shop sim racing equipment
May and June 2025 were packed with new game releases. In contrast, July looks a little lighter – but be in no doubt, it will still be significant.
It includes one of the most important sim racing releases in recent times, plus notable updates for popular games-as-a-service titles. Welcome to July, and as ever, it’s set to be a busy one for Traxion.
Le Mans Ultimate
Release date: 22nd July
Platforms: PC
At several points along the way, Le Mans Ultimate was on the verge of failure. Whether it was the rocky initial early access release or the constant money troubles for parent company Motorsport Games, it will make Version 1.0 triumphantly this month.
On the 22nd July, what’s billed as a ‘significant’ quality-of-life patch plus two free cars – the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH – will see it leave the formal work-in-progress stage.
For now, the pricing model isn’t set to change, so for the relatively modest entry fee, you will get one of the most solid online multiplayer experiences around, mixed with incredible sounds and rewarding vehicle handling. Sadly, a single–player career mode will have to wait until 2026, but you’ll be safe in the knowledge that Le Mans Ultimate has a bright future ahead of it.
The Crew Motorfest Season 7

Release date: 2nd July
Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S
Nearly two years on from its release, The Crew Motorfest’s post-launch support isn’t losing momentum. Launching 2nd July, Season 7 is a love letter to Ferrari, featuring a themed playlist putting you behind the wheel of supercars from the Italian marque’s history and a virtual version of the Enzo Ferrari Museum in a new area of the map.
New cars coming in Season 7 include the Ferrari F50 and 288 GTO, plus the Audi R8 LMS GT2 and Triumph Rocket 3 R, due to arrive in the Year 2 Pass over the coming months.
The highlight, though, is the first video game appearance of the F80, Ferrari’s new limited-production supercar. Built to celebrate the manufacturer’s 80th anniversary, the F80 is the successor to the LaFerrari and boasts a twin-turbo, 3.0-litre V6 and two electric motors producing a combined 1,184 hp.
The fact that it’s appearing in The Crew Motorfest before Gran Turismo or Forza is an impressive feat. Hopefully, it will soon be joined by the McLaren W1 and Porsche Mission X to complete the next generation holy trinity.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Season 4

Release date: Mid-to-late July
Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown had a turbulent launch, but the open-world racer is slowly getting back on track in season updates. The next update, season 4, looks set to be the most fan-pleasing, with the return of the casino last seen in Test Drive Unlimited 2 allowing players to win cash and cars.
Teasers suggest the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series and the Aston Martin DB11/12 Volante will join the car roster in the next season update. Meanwhile, the Solar Pass will switch to a paid model in the next season.
Season 4 is expected to launch in the second half of July, but a release date has yet to be confirmed. Further details are being kept under wraps for now, but KT Racing has a long-term plan to support the open-world racer for at least another year, with multiple season updates that will be outlined in an upcoming developer diary this month.
EA SPORTS F1 25 Season 2

Release date: 23rd July
Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
We know that the next significant update and content drop for the official Formula 1 game is arriving on 23rd July – we just haven’t a clue what is included.
We can estimate that, as per F1 24, a series of live-service challenges and events will arrive for the F1 World mode – that seems to be a given, with limit-time events, unlockable cosmetic items alongside a new Podium Pass to progress through and likely Challenge Career scenarios.
But could there be some unlockable real-world limited liveries for the F1 cars too? Let’s hope so, as one of the (albeit smaller) changes for F1 25 vs F1 24 is being able to easily cycle through secondary paint schemes in the car select screen…
Esports World Cup

Event date: 8th-11th July
This isn’t a game, nor a game update, but an esports event. The controversial Saudi Arabian Esports World Cup will once again have a sim racing discipline for some of the world’s best esports teams, and once again, it uses the embryonic Rennsport platform.
Three teams – Porsche Motorsport, Team Redline BMW and Virtus.pro have already made it to the final, while a remaining cohort will battle through last-change-qualifying (LCQ), group stages and playoffs to be in with a share of a gigantic $500,000 prize pool.
Automobilista 2 DLC

Release date: TBC
Platforms: PC
Following on from Reiza Studios’ preparatory Automobilista 2 patch at the end of June, it’s expected that the Brazilian developer will release a swathe of Aston Martin-related content in July – although an exact release date has not yet been confirmed.
The Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo and Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH are expected to arrive this month, likely forming part of the game’s Endurance Pack Pt3 DLC, with Reiza Project Manager, Renato Simioni, telling Traxion we could even expect a road-going version of the latter.
AMS 2 has an IMSA licence, and Simioni doesn’t hide his ambition to bring more of the series’ cars to the sim, with the likes of the Acura ARX-06, Lexus RC-F GT3 and Ford Mustang GT3 absent from its eclectic vehicle lineup.
“In the IMSA field, we have some missing parts there in terms of getting the full fields, and we will fill up a few of those missing parts,” he stated. Exciting times for IMSA fans, then.
Assetto Corsa EVO 0.3 update

Release date: TBC
Platforms: PC
The third in the popular Assetto Corsa driving simulation games has had a rocky start to its life, with an always-online connection, server issues (more about that in our recent interview) and lacklustre AI performance.
EVO is still in early access, so a few wrinkles were to be expected, but we think even developer Kunos Simulazioni was surprised by the mixed feedback – consequently, it has changed the planned roadmap and a ‘Fall 2025’ full release may be off the table.
The next update is set to be pivotal, as 0.3 adds the first GT3 car – from BMW – a category of motorsport machine synonymous with the studio’s Competizione title. It will be joined by the Dallara Stradale and seven further cars (nine in total), two tracks (Red Bull Ring and Spa-Francorchamps), AI improvements, car sound upgrades and the first stage of online multiplayer.
You see, pivotal.
An exact release date is not yet known, but we expect this within July. The co-founder and Executive Manager of the development studio, Marco Massarutto, stated to Italian media last month that the initial aim for 0.3 to release would be “within the next month”.
