Alaskan Road Truckers developers Movie Games and Road Studio have announced their North American-based truck sim is coming to PC on the 18th of October 2023.

Set to follow the template laid down by SCS Software’s American Truck Simulator, Alaskan Road Truckers sees players take the role of a trucker in the diverse Alaskan landscape.

And you won’t just be limited to viewing the scenery from the driving seat either, as it’s possible to hop out and explore the map on foot, maintaining your vehicle as well as your trucker’s health and well-being, battling the elements thanks to the game’s dynamic weather system.

Aside from these impressive features, Alaskan Road Truckers – formerly known as Alaskan Truck Simulator  – travels the well-worn path of delivering from point A to B alongside building up a logistics business, taking on bigger and more varied jobs over time.

Unusually for a truck sim, however, Alaskan Road Truckers is also making its way to console, with Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions set to follow the PC release, although the game was originally slated to arrive in 2022.

When exactly that will be is yet to be announced, but the game will be available to play at Gamescom at the Green Man Gaming Publishing booth located in Consumer Hall 06.1, Stand C-043, from the 23rd to the 27th of August.
