  • Preview video appears to show a snippet of the Tarzan stage from Acropolis Rally Greece
  • New stage will arrive in V0.5 update at the end of this month

A new stage has been teased for inclusion in Assetto Corsa Rally’s V0.5 build, and after some amateur sleuthing, it appears to be one of Acropolis Rally Greece’s most famous tests.

A brief video showing apparent laser-scan data of the new stage was posted on the game’s Discord, featuring rocky cliffs, rutted roads, and a tight, twisty layout reminiscent of the roads of the Peloponnese mountains.

If I were a gambling man, this is most likely to be the rally’s best-known stage, Tarzan, with the section showcased looking very much like the area near the town of Rovoliari, which features a series of switchback hairpins and perilous drops.

Rally Greece is generally considered to be one of the toughest events on the WRC calendar, being a test of both man and machine owing to its high temperatures and rocky terrain.

V0.5’s release window of ‘late June’ also seems to tally with the beginning of this year’s Acropolis Rally Greece, with the eighth round of the WRC set to kick off on the 25th of this month.

Exact details of the update’s contents have yet to be revealed, but developers Supernova Games Studios and Kunos Simulazioni have previously intimated that it would be larger than V0.4’s car-rich offering.

  1. I purchased it last night on steam and the Force Feedback on a G29 makes it close to unplayable. The wheel is so loose and floaty that there is virtually no feel whatsoever. I had tried a pirated version which had the same problem but unplugging my wheel and reconnecting it would fix it completelt and tighten the wheel up. That is not working with the retail early access. Extremrly disappointed as I wanted to do the right thing and support them but will likely refund it today.

    1. I experience a floaty sensation driving on asphalt, but it’s much better on gravel. I wonder if this feels exaggerated while using a gear-driven wheel like the G29 as opposed to direct drive wheels?
