Following a debut season in 2021, the eSX Esport Championship presented by Yamaha is returning within the Monster Energy Supercross 5 game.
The supercross esports championship is split across three platforms for the initial stages: PC, PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox One/Series X|S. Between the 10th May and 30th June anyone over the age of 18 is free to register and set times on an online leaderboard.
The time trial for the Stage 1 qualifiers is within the Monster Energy Supercross 5 game in the appropriately titled ‘Esports’ section. This area is not yet visible in-game but will be before the opening date. Competitors will unlock a Yamaha eSX in-game bike livery.
From here, the top 12 from each region and platform progress into Stage 2, made up of three races. From here, only the top nine riders in total will make it to the final.
The final will consist of two races and will be held live, in person, at an as-yet to be determined Supercross event.
Each of the top three overall will win a new Yamaha motorcycle. First receives a Yamaha YZ450F, second a Yamaha YZ125 and third a Yamaha TT-R110E. Registration is open now, and you must register first online before starting the qualifying challenge in-game.
