WATCH: Let’s Play Race Driver: GRID, Episode 3

Hello again and welcome to the third episode of my latest video series, Let’s Play Race Driver: GRID. I’m continuing John Traxion’s progression through the TOCA Cinematic Universe with the latest challenge, GRID World in Codemasters’ Race Driver: GRID.

Now, apologies for the start of the episode… or you’re welcome? Either way, you may notice a difference in… quality… as the game capture at the start was sub-optimal. I had to improvise telling the story of my first single-seater race at Spa. I hope it’s easy to follow my progression through that final necessary Driver Offer race.

Once that’s out of the way and we’ve earned enough quid, it’s time to finally start my own team. Rick Racing, in honour of our fearless leader from TOCA Race Driver 3, will be the team name going forward. I’ve got my first owned car, a Ford Mustang 302 Boss. I’ve got a Traxion-style livery on there. There is a new sense of hope in replaying this game again.

There are a few more game crashes though, which I’m hoping isn’t an issue every week. I’m hoping that this play though doesn’t turn into my own version of Groundhog Day with having to rewatch the cutscenes or replay races over and over again.

Check out the video to see how I fare in my first race with the Rick Racing Mustang. If you haven’t yet, check out episodes 1 and 2 of the series to see how I’ve gotten to this point. Be sure to subscribe to the Traxion channel for more content like this, plus all of the other racing game content we offer.
