Once a year, French video game publisher Nacon likes to showcase its upcoming titles, with interviews, trailers and gameplay.
This year’s Nacon Connect, however, won’t feature the upcoming Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.
It may seem a little odd to publish a story about something not happening, however, the open-world driving game is expected to release later this year. It was also showcased in all three previous Nacon Connect presentations, including the announcement of its existence in 2020.
“As you may already know, TDUSC will not be present in tomorrow’s #NACONConnect. However, we invite you to watch it to discover awesome titles to come!” read a social media post by the game’s official accounts on 8th March 2023.
This follows the first in-game dealership and workshop images showcased at the start of this month, which also provided the clearest idea yet about the included car models. However, at this stage, nearly three years since the game’s initial reveal, no gameplay footage has been released.
Originally slated for a 22nd September 2022 release date, it was pushed back to 2023.
While a Nacon Connect miss may seem a little strange, the Kylotonn development has stated it will update the community once a month throughout the year via Solar Club Letters posted on Steam.
NACON Connet 2023 will be on the 9th at 6 pm GMT / 7 pm CET / 1 pm ET / 10 am PT via YouTube.
