The Mercedes-AMG W13 E Performance Formula 1 car is heading to iRacing, sooner rather than later.

Today’s official iRacing 2022 Season 4 Week 13 Schedule has been released today (5th December 2022) and it shows that not only will the BMW M Hybrid V8, Toyota GR86, Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours and Lincoln make their iRacing debuts this year, but also Mercedes’ 2022 F1 challenger.

The W13 is the German marque’s least successful F1 car since 2012, taking just one win in 22 rounds, thanks to George Russell’s landmark victory in the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The team struggled with porpoising throughout 2022, but with several podium results in the closing races of the season looked to have turned the car’s fortunes around ready for an assault on the 2023 championship.

The new Mercedes-AMG W13 E Performance arrives as part of an agreement penned last year between iRacing and the F1 outfit, where its 2021 car – the W12 -joined the sim racing service last December.

“The intent was to create as accurate a representation of W12 as possible from a performance and driving perspective. Throughout the process we have held a unique and close relationship with the developers, which has generated a model we hope everyone enjoys driving as much as our drivers have,” commented James Vowles, Motorsport Strategy Director for Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, in 2021.

iRacers will again have the chance to try modern F1 machinery on iRacing’s varied range of circuits, as was the case with the W12

The Mercedes-AMG W13 E Performance Formula 1 car will be available to purchase on iRacing at the start of Season 4’s thirteenth week, which begins on the 6th of December.
