Cube Control’s range of Mercedes-AMG-affiliated sim racing steerings will grow soon with the addition of the Esports Edition Racing Wheel.

Unlike its existing Mercedes-AMG GT Edition Sim Wheel, which is closely related to the real-world Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series and GT2 steering wheel, this new device is a work of fiction – albeit with motorsport input.

The 300mm wide design sits somewhere in between a GT or formula style, not formally pigeonholed as either.

Noticeably, as this is a simulation-only design, there is a plethora of buttons on the front – 20 in total, alongside eight rotaries. Around the rear are four adjustable magnetic paddles with carbon support structures.

While the overall design does not replicate a specific design, the electromechanical buttons are the same grade used in motorsport, and there will be fresh polycarbonate stickers to place upon the illuminated inputs.

The materials used for this light-wright device include cast aluminium for the main structure, with real carbon fibre as the front plate.

The Mercedes-AMG Esports Edition Racing Wheel by Cube Controls, to give it its full title, was displayed in a functioning prototype form at the ADAC SimRacing Expo in Dortmund recently.

The Italian team is aiming for a price of around €1,199 +VAT, with a release window of winter ‘24/’25.
