Radiangames, a one-person team based in Illinois, has announced Speed Demons 2, a chaotic, side-scrolling highway racer with destructive gameplay inspired by Burnout, including a traffic attack-style mode.
While the original game was an Apple-exclusive mobile exclusive released in 2019, the sequel is coming to PC and consoles at this year.
Speed Demons 2 features ten gameplay modes, ranging from simple races and checkpoint events to Burnout-style takedown, rampage and pursuit modes where you destroy as many vehicles as possible within a time limit
Scratchless tasks you with reaching the finish line with as little damage, while Rush Hour challenges you to pass as many traffic vehicles as possible before reaching the finish line.

Reminiscent of Burnout Revenge’s traffic checking, traffic can be smashed out of the way, with vehicles exploding on impact. While the developer says races can be completed in around two to four minutes, Speed Demons 2 will have over 500 races spread across multiple chapters.
“To make the action more intuitive, the controls are focused on movement, not steering,” the developer explains. “You’ll have gas, brake, and turbo (or ability) buttons, and you move the analogue stick (or mouse) up and down to control your vehicle’s direction.”
Visually, Speed Demons 2 sports cel-shaded cars and roadside objects. It will also support 60fps and high-performance 120fps modes, with the physics always running at 120fps.
Available to wishlist on Steam, Speed Demons 2 is slated for a 2025 release on PC and consoles. Specific platforms and a release date are yet to be confirmed.
If you’re craving a new Burnout-style destruction arcade racer, Speed Demons 2 looks like it could scratch that itch.
