The second wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Booster Course Pass will be available to buy on the 4th of August for the Nintendo Switch, and it’s set to include some returning fan favourites.
The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pack is a six-part track pack which is set to add 48 tracks to the game between the 18th of March 2022 and December 2023, almost doubling the track content of the base game in the process.
Popular additions include the return of the Mario Kart 64’s bonkers train in Kalimari Desert, Super Mario Kart’s Mario Circuit 3 and the Wii version of Mushroom Gorge.
As well as eight new tracks, the new DLC pack will contain two new Cups to race for. The Turnip Cup includes New York Minute, Mario Circuit 3, Kalimari Desert and Waluigi Pinball, while the Propeller Cup consists of Syndey Sprint, Snow Land, Mushroom Gorge and the never-seen-before Sky-High Sundae.

Although we enjoyed the first wave of DLC tracks for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, we were left feeling a little cold by the slightly lower-resolution textures used in the updated circuits. We are eager to see if these issues have been addressed for wave two.
The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pack is available for £22.49/€24.99/$24.99 from the Nintendo eShop or will be available as a free upgrade if you already own the Switch Online Expansion Pass, which also allows you access to the glorious Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario Kart.
