Known for its OEM work within the road and race-going seatbelt automotive industry, Sabelt has unveiled a range of sim racing equipment for the virtual world.
Using the tagline ‘from real to sim’, the Italian company has published images of its new range, including an aluminium profile cockpit, a seat and a steering wheel. Oh, and belts, don’t forget the belts!
The frame appears to feature additional appendage to mount such devices as keyboards or shifters, and behind the monitor, there’s a shelf to extravagantly mount a PC which is secured using the traditional Sabelt straps.
Adorned in the black and yellow branding, the set-up also includes a brand new steering wheel, entitled the SW1R, used in this example in collaboration with the VRS DirectForce Pro Wheel Base.
In a separate teaser, there also appears to be a heavily sculpted seat on display.
These images depict the ‘S Series’, with ‘P Series’ lines for ‘formula enthusiasts’ and ‘X Series’ including this stock-car-style steering wheel.
The car seat and motorsport belt experts provide safety equipment to the likes of Ferrari and McLaren – recently Sabelt was used in the Senna GTR LM, for example – and even in space projects such as the Cygnus Orbital-ATK module.
Pricing and availability are not yet known, but it is set to visit the SimRacing Expo in October, Dortmund.
