Radical SR10 coming in 2022 iRacing Season 3 content drop on 7th June

The latest build for iRacing drops tomorrow (7th June 2022) and with it, there’s expected to be plenty of new content to jump into. One of the first new cars announced for the new build dropped on Monday (6th June 2022) and it’s a new Radical SR10 for the Radical contingent.

The new Radical SR10 joins the fold alongside Sandown International Raceway, Port Royal Speedway and the new damage model coming to the NASCAR NEXT Gen vehicles. It has also been all but confirmed that Fuji Speedway will release in this build, but that has only been teased to be so in the past week on iRacing socials.

Also, as far as new cars, a teased rear-end in May that has most people thinking of a Mercedes AMG GT4 might also be coming tomorrow. Again, that is unconfirmed at this time. Only Sandown and this new Radical are most definitely coming. We’ll know for sure when the build notes drop in the next 24 hours.

This particular vehicle model was launched in September 2020. From the Radical Motorsport website, it can be found that this Radical SR10 sportscar gets up to 425bph utilizing a 4-cylinder Ford Ecoboost engine and Hewland GT3-derived six-speed gearbox.

This essentially should replace the existing Radical SR8 V8 on the iRacing platform, a car that is included with basic membership at the time of this posting. The Radical SR8 V8 was often seen on the road side of the service. However, some of us iRacing Oval nuts adapted the vehicle for superspeedway-type racing on 1.5-milers in recent years. Meme racing? Maybe. Fun as anything, nonetheless.

With the hype building for the Season 3 release, what do you think about this new Radical that will be introduced tomorrow? Let us know your thoughts below, and keep it pinned for more 2022 iRacing Season 3 news as it becomes available here at Traxion.GG.
