Nissan Silvia drifts into Season 11 of Rocket League

Season 11 of Rocket League starts today (7th June 2023), bringing with it a host of improvements, fixes and content additions to the sensationally popular vehicular football game, arriving alongside its v2.28 update.

Topping the bill is the inclusion of the Nissan Silvia (S13) as part of the Season 11 Rocket Pass, with a new arena and Birthday Ball Limited Time Event also included, celebrating the game’s upcoming eighth anniversary.

Nissan Silvia

The Nissan Silvia is one of the most popular drift cars ever produced. The Silvia – commonly known as the 200SX or 240sx outside of Japan – is easily modified into an effective sideways machine thanks to its balanced rear-drive chassis and availability of parts.

Using the Hybrid Hitbox, the car is the ideal ‘Soccar’ star, with the Nissan Silvia RLE version adding a hood scoop, carbon fibre modifications and a huge rear wing to enhance its aggressive stance. This look can be improved further by fitting the included Nissan Silvia RLE Wheels.

Rocket League Season 11 new Arena: Estadio Vida Arena

Inspired by Latin American football stadia, the Estadio Vida Arena is set in a seaside resort not dissimilar to Rio de Janeiro, a theory backed up by the inclusion of Brazilian artist Carola on Rocket League Radio.

Also, players can pick up a new Player Anthem in the form of the Portuguese-titled “Não Sei Parar” by Bhaskar & Afterclapp from the Item Shop, adding to the carnival atmosphere of the new Arena.

Rocket League Season 11: other improvements

One major improvement to the Rocket League experience arriving with Season 11 and the v2.28 update is the addition of transparent goalposts. Long a bugbear among the Rocket League community, goalposts would often block the view of players when in or around the goal area.

This has now been consigned to the (top) bin with Rocket League’s latest update and is available across every version of the game.

Rocket League, Season 11

The base model Nissan Silvia can be picked up via Rocket League’s Premium Rocket Pass for 1,000 Credits. Progressing through the Rocket Pass tiers will unlock the RLE version, including various horn, trails and wheels add-ons.

For reference, it costs £3.75/$4.99 for 500 credits, £7.50/$9.99 for 1,000 credits, £18.75/$24.99 for 3,000 credits, or £37.50/$49.99 for 6,500 credits.

Rocket League Season 11 is available now alongside the v2.28 update across PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch versions.
