Logitech McLaren G Challenge returns in 2022 on Assetto Corsa Competizione

Returning in 2022, the Logitech McLaren G Challenge is back with $150,000 up for grabs in cash and Logitech G prizes. The details are not all announced just yet, but it seems that it will run at least on the PC Assetto Corsa Competizione platform and the Grand Finals are set to take place on 19th March 2023.

Registration is free and the ACC competition will run through the SimRacing.GP community. Sim racers will be able to race for cash, Logitech G products, and the grand prize of a VIP trip to the 2023 Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix. Last season, the Logitech McLaren G Challenge was run across both ACC and iRacing. As of now, we just know that ACC will be involved.

In total, there will be six grand prize winners – Four champions will come from the respective regions of North America (NA), Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA), Latin America (LATAM) and Asia Pacific (APAC). Two others will be selected through a sweepstakes. The VIP trip, a Lando Norris meet-and-greet and McLaren merchandise are all part of those grand prize packages.

There will be weekly prizes that can be given out to anyone who races. All competitors will be entered into a chance to win the grand prize sweepstakes as well. Products that can be won include Logitech G headsets and cameras. Finalists have the chance to win cash prizes, up to $10,000 per regional finalist winner, payouts down to 16th at $250, plus the new Logitech G Pro Sim Wheel will be up for grabs.

When the site went live earlier in the day on Wednesday, there was a posted schedule which stated that the qualifications would start on 4th October. There were also scheduled Knockout Races, but that schedule has since been removed. Looking around on the site, many details are still unknown, removed, or just not yet announced.

Per the Logitech McLaren G Challenge Discord, all the details are not yet finalized and will be “coming soon”. Considering things might kick off in two weeks, hopefully ‘soon’ comes sooner than later. Once more, we’ll keep you up to date as more information becomes available.
