Another classification of cars often seen in multi-class competition such as IMSA and Le Mans competition is heading to iRacing this June.

The Ligier JS P320 will be the new LMP3 car on the service, an entry level type prototype that often sits between LMP2 and GTD competition in events.

Scan data of the Ligier JS P320 tweeted on Wednesday by iRacing.

In their tweet on Wednesday (29th March) announcing the future addition to the service, iRacing tagged Sean Creech Motorsport, one of the LMP3 teams that competes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Two weekends ago, the team sported iRacing logos on their rear wing while competing at Sebring International Raceway and later tweeted in a response to another tweet that they were working with iRacing on audio and data.

It would be assumed that this car will join future endurance races during the 2023 Special Events calendar as well as the official daily and weekly racing series on the service.

It could also get it’s own series, but one would assume we’ll find out more when we get closer to the release of 2023 iRacing Season 3.
