What to expect on the 2023 iRacing Special Events calendar

This weekend (13-15 January), the 2023 iRacing Special Events calendar swings into motion with the first big race of the year, the iRacing ROAR. The ROAR is but just one of the numerous big planned races for the year, as iRacing has already penned in more than 20 Special Events through the end of December.

From the ROAR through the iRacing Chili Bowl, there are big races on the calendar that span series across IMSA, NASCAR, Intercontinental GT, ADAC, the World of Outlaws, Australia’s Supercars, the SCCA Runoffs, Off-Road Truck Short Course racing and big time Super Late Model racing.

Many of these races will have broadcasted splits, most of which will likely be through iRacing’s own in-house productions, but as well as VCO who will have their “Grand Slam” return in 2023, spanning all four big IMSA races on the calendar.

Here’s what iRacing’s Special Events calendar looks like for 2023. What big races are you looking forward to this year? Which races do you wish were on the calendar? I know many will be sorely missing the iRacing Indy 500… myself included. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
