SocCar fans, be on alert for British Secret Service Agent 007 and his 1963 Aston Martin DB5. The popular modified luxury GT from the James Bond film series is the latest in-game purchase coming to Rocket League.
For 1100 in-game Rocket League Credits, the famous spy car can be yours, complete with the signature silver birch colored paint, the Aston Martin DB5 wheels, a Reel Life decal and the engine audio file resembling the purr under the hood.
If you haven’t earned any credits in game, real money can be used to get this limited time offer. The cost is £3.75/$4.99 for 500 credits, £7.50/$9.99 for 1,100 credits, £18.75/$24.99 for 3,000 credits, or £37.50/$49.99 for 6,500 credits.
The car itself is recognizable from various James Bond films. First appearing in 1964’s Goldfinger, the Aston Martin brand is nearly synonymous with the fictional character in today’s world. A variant of the DB5 last appeared at the end of the latest film in the franchise from 2015, Spectre.
No Time To Die is the next film up in the series, due in October later this year. The trailer shows the new car and a common Rocket League ball bouncing around the streets of Matera, Italy, one of the settings in the upcoming film.
The popular rocket football car game has been on our pages recently. The NASCAR and Formula 1 packs brought motorsports to younger generations. The Fast & Furious pack brought some pop culture into the fold. Now with Bond’s Aston Martin at your disposal, there’s another crossover between two unlikely entities.
Bond’s 1963 Aston Martin DB5 will be available to own starting 29th July, for a limited time. Let us know what you think about this latest pop culture-meets-gaming development in the comments below.
