It’s that time of year again. Codemasters and EA’s latest F1 game is here, with F1 25 introducing a revamped My Team with deeper management mechanics, along with improved handling and a new Braking Point story. While the game is set to launch on 30th May for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, there are several ways to play F1 25 early before the general release.
Pre-order the F1 25 Iconic Edition
While the main game races off the line on 30th May, the Iconic Edition gives you three days of early access from 27th May. This is the equivalent of the F1 23 and 24’s deluxe Champions Edition. It costs £19.99 / $19.99 extra than the Standard Edition, but you also get the following digital bonuses along with an early unlock:
- F1 75 Celebration Pack
- F1The Movie – Chapter scenarios
- F1 World Bumper Pack
- 18,000 PitCoin
- Lewis Hamilton Iconic Pack
- APXGP Team Pack
- F3 Driver Icons
- A collection of 2025 liveries for F1 24 Time Trial mode
- Lewis Hamilton “King of Silverstone” F1 World Event in F1 24
- F1 TV Pro one-month subscription (USA only)
Unlike the Standard Edition, the Champions Edition isn’t available to buy physically, but the digital version will remain on sale after launch day.
EA Play Pro subscription
Another way to play F1 25 early is by subscribing to EA Play Pro. Subscribers can access the F1 25 Iconic Edition from 27th May at no extra cost with all digital pre-order bonuses. Available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, EA Play Pro is a monthly subscription service that gives players unlimited access to the full range of EA-published titles.

A yearly subscription costs £16.99 / $16.99 per month or £109.99 / $119.99 per year. However, EA Play Pro is not part of Game Pass.
EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate five-hour early access trial
For £5.99 per month / £35.99 a year, a standard EA Play subscription includes a five-hour trial of F1 25 at no extra cost starting on 27th May if you want to try before you buy. This includes full access to the game, whether you want to try modes like Driver Career, My Team, Braking Point or the F1 Movie tie-in. Once the trial ends, the game is locked unless you purchase the full digital game.
EA Play subscribers also get a 10% discount off the full price.

A standard EA Play subscription is also included within the PC and Ultimate tiers of Game Pass. A PC Game Pass subscription costs £9.99 / $11.99 a month, while Game Pass Ultimate will set you back £14.99 / $19.99 a month.
EA Play allows players to access a library of EA-published games, but not from day one like the Pro tier. It also includes limited-time trials of the latest releases.
Is F1 25 on Game Pass?
At the time of writing, F1 25 is not on Game Pass, but Game Pass PC and Ultimate subscribers can access a five-hour trial at no extra cost. F1 24 came to Game Pass in February 2025 and is still included at the time of writing. If F1 25 follows this pattern, we expect it to come to Game Pass in the first quarter of 2026, but nothing is confirmed yet.
