Although not technically a Black Friday deal, Fanatec is currently selling its ClubSport Handbrake V1.5 at a hefty discount.
The handbrake, which is compatible across PC, PlayStation and Xbox, features improved materials over the original V1.0 version, including a stainless steel lever and a bespoke adapter to allow ClubSport wheelbase connectivity.
The device can be mounted horizontally or vertically, with the foam grip ideal for grasping while approaching a hairpin bend at 100 mph.
Naturally, players will get the most from this peripheral in games like EA SPORTS WRC, DiRT Rally 2.0 or BeamNG.drive, but it’s also useful for initiating drifts in Assetto Corsa, Gran Turismo 7 and Forza Motorsport.
The V1.5 can be mounted directly to a rig thanks to its well-positioned screw holes or can be mounted to a desk using the optional ClubSport Handbrake Clamp Adapter in combination with a ClubSport Shifter Table Clamp.
Fanatec ClubSport Handbrake V2
Perhaps one of the reasons the handbrake is on sale is due to Fanatec’s imminent unveiling of its ClubSport Handbrake V2, which forgoes the V1.5’s potentiometer-based system in favour of a more tactile load cell-derived operation.
Although it’s unknown when this will be released, the V2 was impressively showcased at the recent SimRacing Expo in Dortmund.
