Car delivery missions, known as convoy missions, were a staple of the Test Drive Unlimited games but were noticeably absent in the latest entry, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown. That’s set to change soon, however, with car delivery missions returning in next week’s pivotal Season 3 update.
Ahead of the update, KT Racing has provided a sneak peek at Solar Crown’s car delivery missions in new gameplay footage shared on social media.
Returning players will be instantly familiar. Like previous TDU games, Solar Crown’s convoy missions see you take on contracts delivering a valuable car to a destination within the time limit without damaging it for a cash reward.
Footage in the video clip shows a delivery mission featuring a Lamborghini Huracán Performante, which is wrecked by the end of the video – much to the client’s dismay.
In Solar Crown, clients will have different tolerance levels for damaged vehicles. Satisfying clients by avoiding collisions and “unsuitable road surfaces” will reap higher rewards, with more prestigious contracts featuring higher-value cars. Depending on their tolerance level, causing excessive damage will fail the contract.

Given how expensive vehicles are to buy in dealerships, convoy missions will also give players an opportunity to test-drive Solar Crown’s most desirable cars.
Contracts are scattered around the map with limited time availability. Season 3 will feature over 30 convoy missions across Hong Kong Island and Ibiza, with more coming in future updates.
Set to launch on 19th March, Season 3 will also add a long-awaited solo mode (though it still requires an online connection), allowing you to skip online lobbies and race with AI opponents only.

There’s also a new navigation mode, along with three new cars (the Aston Martin Valour, DeLorean DMC-12 and Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta) and an increased Solar Pass level cap from 25 to 50.
