After offering a limited period of free shipping on items purchased from its website during the holiday season, Fanatec has moved to make this a more permanent arrangement.
In a statement today (6th February 2025), the Landshut-based sim peripheral manufacturer declared that free standard shipping will be available to ‘mainland destinations’, excluding orders with express shipping or repair service cases. Fanatec states the move ‘simplifies the shopping experience, removing any guesswork from the final price’.
The previous promotion offered free shipping to mainland Europe, Australia, Japan and the mainland USA, with the UK sadly exempt. The exact stipulations of this promotion have yet to be revealed, however.
Fanatec appears to be on a firmer footing since its acquisition by Corsair last year, with Fanatec unveiling a new sim rig and other new products, as the American giant aims to use immense global reach to solve much of the German firm’s customer services and supply issues.
Although free shipping is undoubtedly most welcome, the caveat is that Fanatec has also increased its prices across the board.
According to Fanatec, the rise relates to the improved QR2 quick-release system being implemented across all its compatible products, something it stated would happen at the end of 2024.
