Fanatec set for new products “towards Q4 this year”

Corsair’s new CEO, Thi La, was confident about the future of Fanatec on its recent earnings call, but is wary of potential semiconductor tariffs.

Gaming peripheral manufacturer Corsair has published its Q1 2025 results, and consequently hinted at more range additions for the recently acquired Fanatec.

Under the stewardship of the American corporation, the sim racing brand has increased its after-sales warranty, started offering refurbished models and even began some sales outside of its website via third-party retailers.

“Early sell-through and engagement metrics point to strong initial market adoption, signalling Corsair’s successful entry into the rapidly growing sim racing category,” stated the company, about Fanatec products now available elsewhere.

The Californian company instated a new Chief Executive Officer on 1st July, Thi La, who hinted at further products coming on stream.

After discussing that the first step for Fanatec was integration and the second, extending distribution, La explained: “The third step is to step up on roadmap and releasing new products.”

“You will start to see some of the new products coming out towards Q4 this year, we’re very excited about that.”

“Then, to continue to build up availability, and also, there are some mitigations from a tariff perspective that we can do, so that’s what’s going to be next from the point of expansion.”

Corsair revenue increased 23% to $320 million between April and June this year, compared to 2024, while gross profit increased 36% to $85.9 million in the same period.

Fanatec, having weathered a tariff storm earlier this year – first rising prices, and then reversing – is now facing a fresh threat of tariffs on semiconductors made outside of the USA.

“As global tariff policies continue to evolve, our focus remains on being agile,” said La, about the entire Corsair group.

“We’ve proven our ability to adapt and minimise disruption through supply chain optimisation and diversified sourcing.

“That said, depending on how the semiconductor tariffs plays out, we may need to adjust pricing accordingly to preserve margin integrity. Our priority is to minimise customer impact, while continuing to deliver high-performance, industry-leading products.”
