Fanatec has unveiled a new sim racing device; the ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance.

The latest wheel rim, designed to work when affixed to a hub, is reminiscent of a real-world GT3 race car’s wheel. Only, unlike the existing Podium BMW M4 GT3 (€1,499.95) complete steering wheel, this is priced at a much more palatable €129.95.

Ideally used in combination with a paddle module and Fanatec’s Podium Button Module Endurance – a €199.95 hub with an OLED display alongside a mix of buttons and switches which allows you to swap out different wheel rims – the 318mm diameter rim features CNC-machined finishes for the pre-cut holes.

At each side is an ‘overmoulded’ rubber grip, which the German equipment manufacturer (currently in the middle of a possible takeover) claims are similar to the aforementioned BMW M4 GT3 device.

Limited edition, only for this weekend’s Spa race

This initial version will be limited to just 100 units, as it is 100 years since the first running of the tortuous endurance race the 24 Hours of Spa.

Consequently, each unit will be individually numbered with an etching on the face, and there is also the event’s logo emblazoned just above.

They will only be on sale between Thursday 27th-30th July at the Belgian event in the Fan Village. Fanatec will have a booth in collaboration with RAFA Racing, Grid Finder and AK Esports.

Visitors to the stand across the weekend will also have the chance to win one, alongside other Fanatec equipment, by taking part in a hot lap competition.

For those interested, but not at Spa, a non-limited edition variant is expected at a later date.
