F1 Mobile Racing – the iOS and Android-based Formula 1 racing game co-developed by Eden Games, Codemasters and Electronic Arts – has just received a new update today (21st August 2023), and it adds a whole raft of updates to the officially licenced racing game.
Car updates
The F1 Mobile Racing development team has been hard at work updating the look of the game’s cars to match their real-world counterparts. Given teams constantly upgrade and change the appearance of their cars’ aerodynamic packages throughout the season, this is a necessary update.
This has also extended to each car’s cockpits, with all 10 F1 teams’ steering wheel set-ups refreshed; including Williams’ unique dash-mounted screens.
Legendary rarity level
A new Legendary rarity level has been added to the game, offering a stats boost to three areas of car performance as opposed to the previous maximum of two.
Legendary items include new driver cards, parts and team principal cards, with a full list below for reference:
New parts:
- Simulator and Bespoke Simulator; used to improve your driver stats.
Parts available as Legendary:

New events
F1 Mobile Racing is set to hold a series of hot lap Summer Break Special Events which will be ’themed around specific teams and engine suppliers and some of our favourite circuits’. Details have yet to be announced on these, so keep checking F1 Mobile Racing’s socials for more information.
A new Daniel Ricciardo Showdown event is available now too, where you assume the role of AlphaTauri team-mate to the affable Aussie, aiming to win his 2023 helmet and driver cards.
The Daniel Ricciardo Showdown is available from League 6, and will remain active until September 9th. Players who own Nyck De Vries’ driver card will be allowed to keep them following his replacement by Ricciardo.
