F1 25 adds McLaren Silverstone Google Chrome livery for a limited time

F1 25’s Season Two live-service update launches today, bringing new real-world-inspired scenarios, a special McLaren livery and the return of Eliminator mode, plus a new Podium Pass.

Claim the McLaren x Google Chrome Livery in F1 25

For a limited time, players can unlock McLaren’s Silverstone Google Chrome Livery seen in this year’s British Grand Prix, which saw the team secure a one-two victory. The livery pays homage to the chrome look of McLarens that raced in the mid-2000s and early 2010s.

Unlike previous games, special liveries aren’t restricted to F1 World cars. Instead, the Google Chrome Livery can be applied to the McLaren car when selecting the team in Time Trial, Grand Prix or Driver Career.

To claim the McLaren x Google Chrome Livery, simply log in to F1 25 between 30 July and 16 September and head to your in-game mail in the Player Hub.  

This is the first special livery, but EA teases that more will be added as the 2025 season progresses.

Elimination mode returns

Season Two also sees the return of Elimination mode, a multiplayer mode accessible in F1 World where the driver in last place is knocked out at certain intervals. Once again, Elimination will be available for a limited time, until 18 August.

F1 25’s take on the knockout mode has a faster pace, with the grid size reducing from 10 to 15 and drivers eliminated every 25 seconds.  

Finishing third or higher in weeks one, two or four will unlock the Kompass 2 Title Sponsor set, or players can win a Crystal Burst helmet in week three.

New scenario events and Podium Pass

Season two also brings two new Scenario Events inspired by real-world sprint races.

Running from 25 July to 18 August, the first themed Scenario Event is inspired by Lewis Hamilton’s Sprint Race win for Ferrari at the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix. Completing the event by preventing cars from passing and holding the lead unlocks the XER 1 Title Sponsor livery.  

Taking place between 20 August and 17 September, the second Scenario Event sees you race as Kimi Antonelli, reenacting his victory at Miami where he became the youngest driver to win a Sprint Race. Winning this event will unlock the Summer of Speed livery as a reward.

With an F1 25 Season update comes a new Podium Pass with free and VIP reward tiers. Both tiers offer up to 9,000 PitCoin, two livery sets and other customisation items to claim
