Ahead of this weekend’s Mexico Grand Prix, part two of F1 24’s Season 3 playlist is live, bringing with it three new Ayron Senna-themed rewards.
Senna himself is now playable as a driver Icon in a new Challenge Career series, seeing you race as the legendary Brazilian driver in the current 2024 McLaren MCL38 Formula 1 car.
Completing each episode in the Senna-themed Challenge Career unlocks the ‘Legend of Brazil’ customisation set, which includes a race suit in Episode 1 (15th-24th October), gloves and helmet in Episode 2 (24th – 4th November), and a livery in Episode 3 (4th – 11th November).
In addition, a new Scenario event pays homage to the 1991 Brazilian Grand Prix, which saw one of Senna’s most famous victories. In the final laps, a gearbox issue caused Senna to lose fifth and third gears, leaving the car stuck in sixth gear. The event recreates this scenario but has you race as Lando Norris in the modern McLaren instead.
Finally, a new Pro Challenge event sees you attempt to beat a lap time set by Formula 2 driver Gabriel Bortoleto at Interlagos, home of the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Beating it will unlock the McLaren Senna Tribute livery from the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix inspired by Senna’s iconic yellow, green, and blue helmet. Reaching Gold, Silver, or Bronze levels will also unlock McLaren’s Monaco 2024 race suit and Piastri’s Monaco 2024 helmet.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Ayrton Senna’s death in the 1994 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at the Imola circuit. Senna’s legacy will also be celebrated in the six-episode Netflix drama series ‘Senna’ airing on 29th November.
