As we predicted yesterday, the DC2 Honda Integra Type R has been confirmed to appear in the reboot of Tokyo Xtreme Racer.

The Integra was sold in Japan, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and North America (albeit under the Acura brand for NA customers), but the facelifted JDM version was the most powerful, outputting 197 bhp from its 1.8-litre VTEC engine.

Due for a full release on PC this year, TXR represents a modern reboot for the arcade racing series, which pits players against a series of rivals along the Tokyo expressways. The highlight of the game, however, is its JDM-focused car list, which has been boosted recently by the inclusion of Honda vehicles.

The Integra is the fourth Honda to be officially announced by developer Genki, however, a trailer was accidentally leaked on Chinese social media platform Bilibili over the weekend, revealing several more of the Japanese marque’s cars set for inclusion in TXR. This included the latest car to be officially teased: the FL5 Honda Civic Type R.

The FL5 is the swansong for the Civic Type R in Europe, sadly, but it’s going out with a bang, thanks to its pin-sharp handling and Nurburgring Nordschleife front-wheel-drive lap record.

The FL5 is less a hot hatch and more an entry-level GT, with its 324 bhp capable of launching the car to a 171 mph top speed.
