Confirmed at the start of this month as being in development, Automobilista 2 will release two 2005-themed DLC packs tomorrow, 31st October 2025.
Previously, some content was confirmed and other elements hinted at, but to go along with the date is pricing and final content.
For endurance racing fans, on paper, it seems like a must. For a total of $19.98, there are 10 cars (or 11 if you count an engine variation for one of them) and three retro track layouts, plus a free bonus car for all AMS2 drivers.
Historical Track Pack Part 3 DLC
Let’s kick off with the circuits. As suspected, three venues have been given the 2005 treatment. All are exacting content for the sim racing title and do require the purchase of this DLC bundle, even if you own the base versions.
However, the differences are stark, especially at Circuit de la Sarthe (Circuit de Mans), which runs a noticeably different layout to the present-day configuration.
Developer Reiza Studios has recently published gameplay of the 2005 Spa-Francorchamps layout, and you can spot the distinctive ‘bus stop’ chicane layout from the era.
This pack will be $9.99 and includes:
- Circuit Du Mans 2005
- Road Atlanta 2005 (Full and Short layouts)
- Circuit de Spa Francorchamps 2005 (GP and Endurance courses)
Historical Endurance Car Pack Part 1 DLC
Then we arrive at the vehicles, which are a group of 10 20-year-old cars spanning five classes. Followers of the racing scene back in 2005 will notice a mix of vehicles that competed around the world in various championships.
For those not familiar, there’s a mix here of high-downforce prototypes, naturally aspirated V8s, a Ferrari Enzo-based racer and a homologation-workaround BMW.

In the LMP1 class is the dominant Audi R8 (main article image), which won five 24 Hours of Le Mans races alongside the lesser-spotted Courage and Dallara rivals. While not branded as such in this game, the Dallara was used as an official Chrysler entry in-period, while the Courage went on to be the basis of the fan-favourite Pescarolo Sport Le Mans entries.
The LMP2 Lola B0540, meanwhile, is available with two powerplants – a V8 or a turbocharged unit, and therefore technically makes this an 11-car pack.

GT1 will perhaps hold the most interest for some, with the powerful Americans (Corvette and Viper) against the screaming Europeans (Aston Martin DBR9 and Maserati MC12). The latter was so good, being based on the aforementioned Enzo, that it forced class rule changes to keep its performance in check.
Rounding out the paid DLC is the lonely BMW GTR in its own class and the GT2-spec Porsche 911, also in a solo category. Except…

2005 LMP1 Class
- Audi R8 LMP1
- Courage C60
- Dallara SP1
2005 LMP2 Class
- Lola B0540 V8
- Lola B0540 Turbo
2005 GT1 Class
- Aston Martin DBR9 GT1
- Corvette C5.R
- Dodge Viper GTS-R
- Maserati MC12 GT1
2005 GT2 Class
- Porsche 996 RSR
2004 GTR Class

Free Milano GT2 car

Must not say Ferrari. Must not say Ferrari. Ooops…
Free for all players, irrespective of DLC purchases, will be a second GT2 car to join the Porsche, and that’s the Ferrari 360 Modena Milano GT36 GT2.
Mid-engined, V8, red paint, we wonder what this car is inspired by?
Further quality-of-life changes for the Automobilista 2 platform are also expected on the same date, 31st October, alongside this DLC, and we’ll report back with hands-on impressions soon.
