The first significant, content-adding, update for Assetto Corsa EVO since its initial early access release is coming soon. Very soon. Wednesday 19th February 2025.
Following a tumultuous launch, with a huge spike of players initially, before a noticeable drop-off thanks in part to a server connection error that prohibited single-player progress, two cars and a track will be added.
Fuji Speedway was briefly seen in an initial teaser trailer last year, and today’s (14th February) announcement showcases more of the Japanese venue, making its (official) Assetto Corsa franchise debut.
Of the cars, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale “Evoluzione 2” is the archetypal rally homologation special of the early 1990s – the last form this Italian hatchback took before the cessation of production.
Something quicker, but still Italian, is the Lamborghini Huracán STO. While not specifically designed to homologate the supercar (despite STO standing for Super Trofeo Omologata) it does take learnings from a one-make race series in terms of aerodynamic appendages.
Both these cars, and the track, and been previously confirmed for EVO.
This fits in with the previously published roadmap for the embryonic title, coming under ‘Content Drop 1’. With this in mind, new in-game special events are also expected. It has not yet been confirmed if further quality-of-life changes will be added at the same time, but Traxion expects to find out more when associated patch notes are published.
