The last notable update for Assetto Corsa Competizione was nearly one year ago, when 2024-season liveries were added in August 2024.
This was followed by a tiny patch in November, plus an ‘Ultimate Edition’ that bundled all DLC. Otherwise, creator Kunos Simulazioni has been seemingly focused on the roll-out of Assetto Corsa EVO.
Amid this early access release, the future of the official GT World Challenge game, Competizione, was unclear.

“On ‘25 [ACC support], we don’t give confirmations because at the moment we are completely focused on [Assetto Corsa] Evo,” said Kunos Co-Founder and General Manager Marco Massarutto a year ago.
Then, at October’s SimRacing Expo, he was quoted as saying “one last patch” [for ACC] was being “evaluated”.
Following the announcement of the BMW M4 GT3 Evo in Assetto Corsa EVO, and its playable debut at the 24 Hours of Spa (part of the GT World Challenge series), the official Assetto Corsa Instagram account (spotted by Jardier) has delivered a tantalising update on ACC.

“We haven’t confirmed this, we’re not done with Competizione yet,” it posted in response to a comment that claimed “ACC is officially dead”.
The title was first released into early access in 2018, before a Version 1.0 launch in 2019 and subsequent console editions.
When approached by Traxion, Kunos was unable to comment further at this time, but posting on social media in June 2025 to denounce such speculation potentially hints at ongoing discussions.

They need to do something like LMU with their online matchmaking, ACC is basically a single player game if you aren’t using LFM.
Seems like the ideal way, but would maybe be a lot of dev work for an older game?
