Next Level Racing has won approval from motorsport’s governing body, as several of its sim racing wheel stands and cockpits have received FIA approval.

The Australian gaming equipment manufacturer will now carry an official FIA licence across six of its virtual driving periphals, work with national sporting authorities (ASNs) on esports projects and have its projects used at in-person FIA-affiliated events.

The first will be the upcoming FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia, 23rd-27th October, which will have two sim racing categories running.

“We are constantly looking for ways to broaden the reach of our Esports projects,” said Eric Stranne, FIA Project Manager – Esports.

“We have built in commitments to working with our network of ASNs, with a view to ensuring that more and more Esports events can take place within the FIA’s global ecosystem, encouraging greater participation and passion for motorsport.”

Next Level Racing will also have the possibility to participate in the FIA’s annual conference events, where a network of FIA Member Clubs will be present – each presumably with a growing interest in sim racing. It joins the likes of motion experts D-Box with an FIA partnership.

“We are excited to partner with the FIA to support the growth of esports and the global expansion of sim racing,” said Kam Khadem, Chief Marketing Officer, Next Level Racing.

“Our upcoming range of products will empower ASN’s efforts worldwide, providing cutting-edge solutions that enhance the sim racing experience. By working with the FIA, we are committed to closing the gap between real and virtual racing, helping to cultivate the next generation of motorsport talent.”
