Following Electronic Arts’ Chairman and CEO Andrew Wilson claiming that F1 22 was “outperforming expectations”, PlayStation’s sales figures look to back up that sentiment up.
This season’s official Formula 1 game topped the overall digital sales chart for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in July for the European region, as published via the Japanese console manufacturer’s blog.
It was ahead of titles such as The Quarry, Far Cry 6, Gran Turismo 7 and Stray.

Even in the US and Canada, where sales of the F1 games haven’t been as strong typically, F1 22 reached fourth in the overall PS5 chart – this was contrasted by a lowly 18th on the PS4, however.
