The first in-game footage for the upcoming World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing game has been revealed during the first World of Outlaws ButtKicker Late Model Series championship round.
Developed by Monster Games, after its purchase by sim racing platform iRacing in January, it officially features licences vehicles, tracks and teams from the real-world Sprint Car, Late Model, and Street Stock championships. Four additional, as yet unnanounced, categories are also expected.
In the first teaser trailer, we can see all three main classes in action, alongside what looks to be Knoxville Raceway and Charlotte Motor Speedway – both of which were not announced before this trailer. There are set to be 40 tracks in total, 13 of which are licenced.
Subjectively, the visuals look markedly similar to the previous Unity Engine-using games created by this development team, namely Tony Stewart’s Sprint Car Racing and Tony Stewart’s All-American Racing from 2020. During the announcement of the game’s development, iRacing stated there will be an “improved physics model.”
Unadulterated gameplay is expected in August, ahead of the game’s release in September, exclusively for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
