Offroad Mechanic Simulator from PlayWay S.A. and Image Power was announced all the way back in August of 2020, but there hasn’t been much news about it since the announcement trailer dropped on YouTube in January 2021.
On Friday, the dormant title was revived with another YouTube posting on ThePlayWay’s channel. This one is looking for play-testers to sign up and try an early version of the game on 13th July. With that came a new trailer to see the progress so far.
Some of the basic functions of the mechanic portion of the title are shown. Just before that, for a few seconds you can see some of the driving gameplay. From the release of the video, we can also see the release date will be in the first quarter of 2023.
PlayWay sure does publish a lot of simulators, we’ve covered titles such as Car Mechanic Simulator, Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator, and who could forget my personal favorite, Gas Station Simulator. I’m not joking, that was one of the first games that I covered when I started writing here, and it’s legitimately a good time. We don’t talk about Bum Simulator though…
The premise of this simulator is to “change, fix, upgrade” your cars and trucks before sending clients out into the wilderness. Setting up the vehicle for the right terrain is key, and you’ll of course need to test it out yourself before handing it back to the customers.
Sand, mud, water and rocks are just some of the different types of terrain you’ll be fixing these machines to handle. There are multiple different types of vehicles, different tools, a wide selection of parts, some decorative pieces, and it all looks pretty great already, graphics-wise.
If you’re interested in being a part of the Playtest, you need to just go to the Steam Page and request access. What do you think of this particular simulation? Let us know in the comments!
