Simucube has officially revealed a new ‘entry-level’ version of its ActivePedal technology, with the Sport set for its public debut at SimRacing Expo Frankfurt.

Sitting below the Finnish company’s flagship ActivePedal Ultimate and ActivePedal Pro, the Sport offers similar haptic feedback effects with a few compromises compared to its more powerful siblings.

So, the Sport has a maximum force of 100 Kg compared with the Ultimate’s 170 Kg, a maximum pedal travel of 60 mm compared with 79 mm, and weighs 3.4 Kg compared with the beefier flagship’s 6 Kg.

Simucube assures us that the Sport is still built to the same exacting standards as its other products, with the pedal able to be used as a brake, throttle or clutch, replete with adjustable ABS, lock-up and slip effects via the firm’s proprietary Simucube Tuner software.

A 36-month warranty should also help quell any fears over its longevity.

The ActivePedal Sport will cost €901 excl. VAT  /  $1,199 excl. tax  /  £999 incl. VAT, or as part of a Co-Pedal and Link Hub bundle for €1,280 excl. VAT / $1,798 excl. tax  /  £1,421.35 incl. VAT when it goes on sale in early 2027.
