  • Motorsport Manager 2 to feature motorcycle racing
  • More details revealed in game’s first developer diary vlog

Motorsport Manager 2 is on course for release in 2027, featuring deeper management systems and an expanded list of racing disciplines. However, motorcycles weren’t on our bingo card…

The two-wheeled teaser arrived at the end of the game’s newest trailer, where the silhouette of a superbike was clearly visible. Whether this means we’ll also see MotoGP-style prototype bikes or other classes of motorcycle racing remains to be seen.

The latest trailer arrived alongside Playsport’s inaugural developer diary, where Studio Director Sam White and Project Lead Matt Hanlon outlined a few key improvements fans can expect to see over the game’s predecessor.

The first, and perhaps most noticeable, change is how much prettier the visuals are, with virtual facsimiles of well-known Formula 1 tracks (Bahrain, Suzuka, Miami) looking resplendent in all weather conditions and times of day.

Second, Playsport is keen to point out that MM2 will be open to modding, with the team disclosing that one of the original’s top modders, Chris, has joined full-time as a designer. By staying away from licences, the developer has freer rein over what it can do in-game.

Drivers will have richer and more trackable careers, with players able to track their progress from karting and other lower formulas, and even sign them to driver academies. Engineering and development will also play a bigger role, with players balancing budgets and race strategies on a larger scale than before.

Another interesting feature discussed in the devlog was support for banked turns, which could enable future NASCAR-style stock car racing in MM2.

Motorsport Manager 2 is set to release in 2027 and is available to Wishlist on Steam now.
