100y Edition Volvo FH Series 6 coming to ETS 2’s V1.61 update
Turck will come with two distinct paint schemes
Volvo has released a new truck to celebrate its 100th anniversary, and, as we’ve come to expect from developer SCS Software, it will be available to drive in Euro Truck Simulator 2’s V1.61 update.
Volvo is offering its FH Aero, FH, FH16 Aero and FH16 trucks in special anniversary editions, which brings a series of internal and external changes to commemorate the Swedish firm’s centenary in 2027.
Two-tone seats with an embroidered anniversary motif adorn the cab of the new model, with unique LED lighting on the dashboard highlighting its stylised interior touches. A similar 100th anniversary motif is projected underneath the door of the cab, complementing its external two-tone paint job.
In ETS 2, the 100th anniversary finishing touches will be present on the Aero XL cabin version of the Volvo FH Series 6 truck, with two ‘100y Edition’ liveries available in ‘Night’ and ‘Day’ flavours.
No date has been set for the V1.61 update, but the Czech studio remains committed to bringing its hugely popular trucking title to console, with a bus-based ‘Coaches’ mode nearing completion.
‘This special edition represents the peak of Volvo’s truck design and manufacture over the past century: the result of 100 years’ worth of continual improvement in safety, quality, driver comfort, productivity, fuel efficiency and emissions saving,’ said Jan Hjelmgren, Head of Product Management at Volvo Trucks.
