Euro Truck Simulator 2 showcases reworked Bristol city

As it was one of the earliest regions included at launch, the outdated UK maps in Euro Truck Simulator 2 are gradually being reworked. To showcase how this is progressing, SCS Software has previewed its new recreation of Bristol, based in southwest England.

Euro Truck Simulator 2’s version of the historic city will be divided into two main areas: the city centre and its surrounding road network, including Brunel Way, the A4, Hotwell Road, Merchants Road, and the A4018.

Some of Bristol’s most famous landmarks are being faithfully recreated, including the Clifton Suspension Bridge and SS Great Britain designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, as well as Cabot Tower, the Wills Memorial Building and Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital.

There is even a recreation of the St James Barton Roundabout, a pedestrian area located at the bottom of the M32 motorway known locally as the Bearpit.

Elsewhere, the city will feature three depots, including a logistics warehouse, a car shipping terminal and a marina yacht dock. Bristol Bus & Coach station will also be part of the city centre, coinciding with the upcoming Coaches DLC.

SCS Software hasn’t provided a release window for Euro Truck Simulator 2’s new version of Bristol, but the city centre is “progressing well” according to the developer.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is also coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but no release date has been announced.
